Fishing After Resurrection -John 21v3 – “I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing”.
Brothers and Sisters, please we need to halt, pause for a moment to examine ourselves – assess the work and services that you are currently rendering unto God – Your Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ – Your Savior as it is possible you have gone fishing after Easter Sunday.
Take a deep look into your service for Him….and provide answers to the following questions. ..?
1. When last did you evangelise and preach the gospel to an unbeliever?
2. When last did you win an unbeliever for Jesus Christ?
3. When last is it in your local assembly did an unbeliever openly declared for Jesus Christ?
4. When last is it in your local assembly that a sermon brought you all down to your kneels for congregational repentance?
5. When last were you on a retreat for soul winning?
6. When last did you carried out water baptism for new converts?
7. When last did you disciple a brand new convert from member to a matured-disciple of Jesus Christ?
Brothers and Sisters, if your answers to the questions above is no, No and NO….. it is likely you are the Peter in this passage, have returned and gone back to fishing, though hibernating in the assembly, using denomination and titles to cover up but your career has taken over, overshadowing your God Given Mandate…..as you have gone fishing after His Resurrection!!! THE TIME TO REPENT IS NOW.
